After Stan retired more of his time was spent singing shanties (often in very illustrious company – The Spinners, Mystic Seaport’s home crew Forebitter, and Stormalong John from Liverpool amongst them). Many of these recordings have survived and have been transferred from LP and cassette tape to CD
